While the rest of the directors are busy chasing the dates of existing stars, Sekhar Kammula believes in creating new stars with his films. This maverick film maker is celebrating his 39th birthday today on February 4th.

Sekhar who came back from US with a dream of becoming a film maker and made 'Dollar Dreams' which won critical acclaim. In 2004, he made 'Anand' that released along with Chiranjeevi's film 'Shankardada' and yet became a runaway success. He continued his success marathon with 'Godavari', 'Happydays' and 'Leader'. All his movies won Nandi awards for some category or the other. Today, Tamannah, Varun Sandesh, Nikhil and Kamilini Mukherjee are established names in industry thanks to Sekhar. He is now all set to make 'Life is beautiful' yet again with fresh faces and is on his mission to create new stars again.
